KPBYE5.COM is a preassembled BYE510 with the standard B5KP-1.INS insert. This assumes you have a Hayes-compatible 1200 bps modem. It does ask for a WELCOME file - use your normal editor and make a little text file with a line or two telling the caller who he has reached. This further gives him the knowledge that he "got through ok". Put it on A0: CHAT.COM is included in case the caller wants to talk on the keyboard. He can (1) attract your attention if necessary and (2) chat without the necessity of adding a ';' after each A> CP/M prompt (which keeps the disk system from trying to find a file whose name matches the first word on the line, otherwise.) KMD22-KP.COM is a normal KMD22 program preconfigured for 2 drives and 15 user areas that does not require ZCMD or ZCPR3 for use. It gives the remote user full run of your system so be careful about being present any time you bring the program up. A mischevious remote user can do the same things you can do to ERA files or REN them, or use NULU, NSWP, etc. to handle the files. All of these features can be disabled if desired/needed by getting a normal version of BYE510 and defining the options yourself (after the Kaypro insert has been added to adapt to your equipment.) This came about as a result of a suggestion/request by Howard Schwartz. To use: Rename the KPBYE5.COM to BYE.COM and place on A0: When you want to use the program, just type BYE and wait for the phone to ring. Rename the KPKMD22.COM to KMD.COM and also place on A0: - Irv Hoff W6FFC (415) 948-2513 PRACSA RCPM (415) 948-2166 voice 01 JUN 87
